Active Hungry Fish and Great Dinner Fares Across the Mississippi Sound
Ocean Springs City Park - Jackson, MS
We had an outstanding day navigating the inshore waters near Gulfport and Ocean Springs today! The bite was steady right from the start, with aggressive fish feeding actively across the shallows and structure. If you’ve been looking to fill the cooler with fresh seafood for the dinner table, now is an ideal time to get out on the water.
The coastal estuaries and marsh edges are full of life right now. Whether targeting specks along the grass lines or working bottom structure for reds and flounder, our presentations were met with hard strikes throughout the trip.
Recent Catch Highlights & Tactics Prime Spotting: Marsh drains, oyster beds, and shallow drop-offs along Gulfport and Ocean Springs produced the most consistent feeding activity.
Effective Approaches: Live shrimp under popping corks and soft plastic swimbaits bounced along bottom contours triggered continuous reaction strikes.
Dinner Bound: Steady action delivered plenty of keeper-sized fish ready to take straight to the kitchen!
Inshore conditions are lining up nicely for another solid run of saltwater fishing along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Pack your cooler, bring your favorite food and drinks, and step aboard with Double Hooker Charters to get in on the action while the fish are hungry!
